Here’s a revised tribute and upgraded card for Joseph Tanaka Campbell @jtanaka17campbell (had to post the card with the “C”) -
1. “Jojo” is a creative, playmaking Japanese Canadian forward from Mill Bay, BC, who embodies what a student-athlete is supposed to be. He began skating at 3 and playing hockey at 4.
2. He played his high school years for the prestigious @shawniganlakeschool from 2015-19, averaging over a point per game every year. Jojo was part of the @csshl championship team his rookie season in 2015-16.
3. He erupted during his junior season in 2017-18 with 50 points in 34 games. He followed that up with an astounding senior year, recording 70 points in 36 games; his 55 assists led the league in scoring. Jojo was also named the 2020 Academic Player of the Year for the CJHL (all of Junior A hockey) with a 94% GPA as a senior.
4. While with the Stags, he was also rostered with the @cowichancapitals of the @bchockeyleague, where he notched a goal in 13 games.
5. Jojo has been playing with the @vernonvipersbchl the past two seasons, where he has tallied 44 points in the past 61 games and is currently serving as the team captain. Jojo is also teammates with his younger brother, @seiya.tanakacampbell, on the Vipers. The brothers are both committed to play @ncaaicehockey for @yaleuniversity. Jojo plans on majoring in chemical engineering or astrophysics when he is in college.
