Yet another So Cal star, Austin Ortega @tegs16 - 

1. Austin is a talented winger of Mexican and Filipino descent hailing from Escondido, California. He began skating at the age of 5. 

2. Austin played 2 seasons in the @ushl split between the @ridertown_usa, @indiana_ice_hockey, and @fargoforce, where he collected 92 points in 125 USHL career games. 

3. He played 4 years at the @unomaha, where he scored 139 points in 147 games. While in college, he set the @ncaaicehockey record for most career game winning goals at the time with 23. 

4. After his collegiate career, he immediately began playing for his hometown @sdgullsahl. Over 35 @theahl games, he notched 21 points. He also played in the @echlhockey for the @utahgrizzlies, where he lit it up with 45 points over 29 games. 

5. Austin took his game to Europe, where he has been a successful scorer in the SHL and @del_hockey. For the 2021-2022 season, he is slotted to play for @redbullmuenchen.

Austin has a ton of talent, and he is an awesome representative of So Cal hockey. Here’s hoping that the @nhl expansion will create another opportunity for Austin to showcase his skills in North America!
