Today, I’m posting a slabbed upgrade for Devin Setoguchi (@f45_training_willowgleneast), who I was a super fan of as a kid. This slab is pretty unique give it has a @bladeshockeyofficial jersey patch and a sweet autograph. Feel free to check out my prior post for a full bio on Devin!

1. Devin was a speedy, Japanese Canadian sniper from Taber, Alberta. 

2. He torched the @westernhockeyleague from 2003-06, recording 243 points in 255 games for the @bladeshockeyofficial. 

3. His tremendous skills compelled the @sanjosesharks to select him 8th overall in the 2005 @nhl Entry Draft. The Sharks wanted him so badly, they moved up 4 spots to acquire him and passed on other great stars like @anzekopitar and @tjoshie7. 3. Devin enjoyed a distinguished pro career with 9 seasons in the Show for the Sharks, @minnesotawild, @nhljets, @nhlflames, and @lakings. Over 516 games, he notched 261 points. 

4. Seto is a true success story as he overcame alcohol abuse, which he publicly revealed after signing with the Kings. 

5. He’s related to former @uofnorthdakota star, Jordan Kawaguchi (@jordankawaguchi29), who is currently with the @txstarshockey (and whose card I’m eagerly awaiting!). Seto is now a personal trainer and owns @f45_training_willowgleneast.

On a personal note, I remember watching him and hearing comparisons to @pavelbureofficial, which were not too far off. I was equally ecstatic when my hometown Kings signed him, although his tenure was short lived. I wish him the best of luck on his new endeavors!
