1. Hanae is a veteran scoring Japanese forward from Hokkaido.
2. Since 1998, she has represented Japan’s women’s team in tournament play and was frequently one of the team’s leading scorers.
3. Over the course of her distinguished career, she has won 3 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze medal in D1 World Championship hockey.
4. In 2005-2006, she came to North America to play in the NWHL for the Oakville Ice, where she scored 34 points in 36 games. She retired after that season, only to return to playing hockey in 2011.
5. When she returned, she balanced hockey with a part-time job working at a local skating rink. Right now, she is suiting up for Team Japan again in the World Championships.
