Joel Kot @joelkot -
1. Joel was a Chinese Canadian defenseman from Moose Jaw, Saskatoon.
2. He spent his minor hockey years playing in his hometown playing for the @mjwarriors.
3. He was drafted 72nd overall by the @rdrebels in the 2005 @westernhockeyleague draft. As a 16-year old, he made his rookie debut and played all 7 of the Rebels’ playoff games in 2006-07 against the @medhattigers, who were eventually crowned champions.
4. Joel played 20 games the following season, which ended early due to a back injury. When he returned in 2008-09, he played 64 games with the Rebels and notched 10 points, but he was released after holding out of the following training camp. He thereafter had stints in the @mjhlhockey with the @dauphin_kings (where he won a league championship) the @sjhlhockey with the @estevanbruins, and the @reginacougars.
5. From 2012 through 2021, Joel has played senior hockey with the @bethunebulldogs, where he has won 4 championships. Joel is also a family man with a beautiful wife and daughter.
