Joel Oshiro Dyck @yoely7hockey - 

1. Joel was the younger of the Japanese Canadian Dyck brothers from Lethbridge, Alberta. 

2. Joel was an undersized puckhandling defenseman who played 5 seasons in the @whlhockey (1987-1992) for the @swiftcurrentbroncos, @reginapatshockey, @blazerhockey, and @seattlethunderbirds. He scored 134 points in 304 career junior games. 

3. After a brief stint in the @echlhockey, Joel went overseas, learned to speak fluent Japanese, and played 15 seasons in the Japanese Ice Hockey League/Asia League with the @easthokkaido.cpa. In 2000-2001, he led the JIHL in assists by a defenseman with 25. 

4. Joel also represented Team Japan in 3 World Championships. 

5. After retiring as a player, Joel returned to Lethbridge, where he served as an assistant coach for local minor hockey and the University of Lethbridge.
