Kimberly Newell @kimberlyjnewell - 

1. Kim is a Chinese Canadian goalie from Nelson, BC. 

2. She was a stellar goalie as a youth and was selected by Team Canada in the 2012-13 World Junior Championships U-18. Kim was the youngest player on the team but backstopped the team to a 2-1 overtime Gold medal win. 

3. She played 4 years at @pwihtigers as the starting goalie. 

4. After graduating in 2016, Kim worked on Wall Street for a couple years. However, when an opportunity to play in China arose, she jumped on it and has been playing with the @kunlunredstar since 2018, helping the team to win its first championship in the 2019-2020 season. 

5. Kim’s goal is to play for China in the Beijing Olympics. Her mantra is “Be ready for the moment,” and she has certainly prepared herself well for her moment to shine in 2022.
