1. Makuru is an incredibly fast, Japanese offensive sniping winger from Nikko. After graduating from Nikko Meiho High School in 2012, he has been a scoring presence for @japanicehockey in international tournaments.
2. In 2013, he won a Gold medal in the @iihfhockey D1B World Junior Championships, leading his team in scoring with 4 points in 5 games.
3. After taking a few years off for college, Makuru went pro and suited up for the @h.c.tochigi_nikko_icebucks from 2016 through 2020. Over 146 games, he recorded 120 points.
4. Over this time, Makaru continued to represent Japan in the World Championships, where he has collected 3 Silver and 1 Bronze medals.
5. While continuing to play high level, competitive hockey, Makuru is also back in Japan raising his young family.
