Michael Dyck -
1. Mike was the older of the Dyck brothers and a big, stay at home Japanese Canadian defenseman from Lethbridge, Alberta.
2. He played 5 seasons in the WHL split between the Calgary Wranglers, @bdnwheatkings, and @reginapatshockey.
3. Mike scored 63 points in 218 career WHL games. In his final junior season with the Pats (1988-89), he was teammates with his brother, Joel.
4. After juniors, Mike has enjoyed a distinguished 15-year coaching career. He currently serves as the head coach for the @whlgiants. He also coached Canada’s U-18 team at the Ivan Hlinka Cup in 2019 and served as an assistant coach for the 2020 Canadian World Junior Championship team.
5. His son, Carson (@carsondyckk) is a talented forward who played for the @officialajhl @okotoks_oilers and has committed to @pennstatemhky.
