Randy Wong -
1. Randy was a Chinese Canadian defenseman from Redcliff, Alberta.
2. In 1985-1986, he played 32 @westernhockeyleague games with the New Westminster Bruins, notching 4 points in 32 games; he also played in the @bchockeyleague for the Abbotsford Falcons, scoring 10 points in 20 games. The following season, Randy seemed to pick up steam, as he finished his junior career with the Falcons, collecting 51 points over 50 games.
3. Randy then spent 3 years playing for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, where he again kept a point a game pace with 72 points in 71 games. He also won the Canadian College National Championship three years in a row.
4. After a brief tour in Europe, Randy played one year of North American pro in the @echlhockey with the Columbus Chill. He racked up 23 points in 50 games.
5. Randy retired from playing hockey to start a family but remained active in the junior hockey community. He served as an assistant coach to the @medhattigers for four years, head coach of the @officialajhl @brooks_bandits for one year, general manager of the @medicinehatminorhockey for five years, and a coach/mentor in the Redcliff and Medicine Hat Minor Hockey Programs for nineteen years. He currently serves as the head coach/GM of the @medicinehat_cubs in his hometown of Redcliff.
