Here’s another upgrade for one of my favorite players. When I saw this unique “chunk” or patch, I had to buy it. I believe it’s the blue Province of Alberta shoulder patch on Spencer’s jersey! Spencer Foo @lilfoozivert - 

1. Spencer is a Chinese Canadian sniper hailing from Edmonton, Alberta. 

2. After starring for the @bpontiacsjra of the @officialajhl, Spencer played 3 years with @unionmhockey and lit up his junior year with 26 goals and 36 assists in 38 games in 2016-17. 

3. He was undrafted but was a highly sought after free agent by @nhl teams given his success with the Dutchmen; he eventually signed with the @nhlflames and remained close to home. 

4. After playing 4 games in the NHL (and scoring 2 goals), he went to the @khl in 2019-20 with the @krschina to improve his game for an eventual return to the Show, as well as a chance to play for China in the 2022 Olympics. As an assistant captain, Spencer is currently leading the Red Star in scoring with 31 points in 46 games. 

5. He has a younger brother, Parker (@pfoo22), who also played at @unionmhockey and later joined Spencer with the Red Star. Personally, I think both brothers are a lock for the Chinese hockey team at the Olympics next month!
