Here’s another So Cal hero, Tyler Moy, who comes from a great hockey family @tymoy2 -
1. Tyler is a Chinese American two-way, versatile forward from La Jolla, California. His father was the late Randy Moy, a former @wmu_hockey player and alum who was a beloved youth coach in the San Diego area. Tyler’s uncle, Rodger, played for @michigantech. Tyler’s younger sister, @kmoy98, played for @harvardwomenshockey and suited up professionally in Switzerland last season.
2. After playing a season in the @ushl with the @omahalancers, he played 4 seasons at @harvardmhockey from 2013-2017 and won two @ecachockey championships. His best season was during his senior year, where he scored 45 points in 36 games.
3. Because of his high skill and versatility, Tyler was drafted 175th overall by the @predsnhl in the 2015 @nhl Entry Draft.
4. He has played 77 games in the @theahl over 2.5 seasons for the @mkeadmirals scoring 20 points.
5. Tyler has spent the last 2.5 seasons playing pro in Switzerland’s National League with @lausannehc_officiel and @officialgshc. He has accumulated 61 points in 132 games. Given his strong hockey IQ and two-way play, I am hoping Tyler will have another chance to provide veteran presence and leadership to a North American team, especially with expansion around the corner.
