This next upgrade is for super follower and indisputably nice guy, Wesley Howerton @whowerton -
1. Wes is a hard working, Japanese Canadian center from Surrey, BC.
2. He played minor hockey in his hometown before transitioning to juniors in 2014-15, where he played 8 games for the @portmoodypanthers and scored 5 points in the @thepjhl.
3. In 2015-16, Wes split time between the @vijhlofficial and @kijhlhockey. For the Saanich Braves, he notched 3 points in 11 games. For the @goldenrocketsofficial, he tallied another 3 points in 20 games.
4. Wes’s final season of junior hockey took place in 2016-17. After starting the season on a torrid pace for the North Okanagan Knights (6 points in 6 games), he was traded to the @sicamouseagles, where he finished with 7 points in 26 games.
5. After graduating from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Management in 2020, he went to Europe to play Division 2 pro hockey in Sweden for @virserumssgf. Over two seasons, Wes has recorded 21 points in 42 games. Always a late bloomer, Wes continues to show substantial development as he matures as a hockey player.
Wes is truly a great kid whose love of hockey continues at a high level, despite taking the necessary breaks for school and work. I only wish I had the same courage and adventure to travel overseas to play our beloved sport when I was younger. Wes embodies a true hockey bro! Also, as you can see from his persona note, he is a personable and good guy!
