1. “Shiro” is a strong, hard shooting, power forward from Tomakomai, Japan. His greatest weapon is his heavy shot. As legend has it, in the minors, he broke a goalie’s mask mid game with his killer shot! You will often see him on his offwing or at the point firing one timers past goalies, reminiscent of Ovi. 

2. He has starred for Japan internationally, having won Gold and Silver medals in the @iihfhockey World Junior Championships and a Silver and Bronze in the World Championships. 

3. Since the age of 19, he has played professionally in Sweden (@tingsrydsaif and @kalmar_hc), Japan (@freeblades and @yokohama_grits), and the U.S (@wbspenguins, @wheelingnailers, and @cincycyclones). 

4. He became the first Asian born player to record an @theahl point in July 2019 when he recorded an assist in his debut for the Penguins. Shiro has also participated in the @sanjosesharks development camp and is lighting up the @echlhockey with 29 points in 25 games for the Cyclones. He is currently on loan in the AHL with @abbotsfordcanucks.
