1. Corson is a hard working Canadian forward of Chinese heritage from Victoria, BC. One of his relatives, Roy Hopwo, was an early Chinese pioneer of Chemainus. His father, @clipper1970, coached Corson throughout his minor hockey career. Brett is a @canadiensmtl fan and named his son after the veteran power forward, @shaynecorson27.
2. Corson was introduced to hockey at 4, and he was a prominent player at the @delta.hockey.academy from 2014-2018. In 2015-2016, he was a member of the championship team of the the John Reid Bantam Tournament in St. Albert.
3. Corson was drafted 138th overall in the 2016 @whlhockey Draft by the @medhattigers.
4. His tireless work ethic has endeared him to fans and translated to increased responsibility and playing time with the Tigers.
5. In the 2020-2021 season, Corson resembled the NHLer he was named after with his leadership, energy, and scoring touch, notching 22 points in 23 games while serving as an assistant captain. As he enters his final season of junior eligibility, Corson will be leaned on as an key veteran leader for the Tigers.
