Duan Shineng aka “Derek Dun” @derekdun29  - 

1. Derek was a Chinese and Taiwanese Canadian goalie from Surrey, BC. 

2. He spent his junior career in the @bchockeyleague from 2010-13 playing for the @cowichancapitals for 3 seasons and his final season with the @nanaimoclippers. Over 106 games, he won 43 with a .903 save percentage. 

3. From 2013-16, he played sparingly for @northernmichiganu before transferring to the @ubcmhky. 

4. After graduating from UBC, Derek was interning at a commercial real estate firm and then attended a @khl camp for Chinese hockey players, where the @krschina organization signed him to a minor league deal with @krs_bsu_vhl. Derek spent 3 seasons (2017-20) playing for Red Star’s minor league team in the VHL. Also, in 2018, Derek was signed to a tryout contract with the @nhlbruins when the team visited China. 

5. Since retiring from hockey in 2020, Derek has worked for a real estate investment firm in Vancouver.
