Jessica Koizumi @jzumi56 - 

1. Jess was a skilled and responsible forward from Honolulu, Hawaii. She grew up playing hockey in Southern California, and I actually played a couple beer league games against her when she subbed in as a teen. 

2. From 2003-2007, she was a consistent top 3 scorer for @umdwhockey. Jess served as the captain of the Bulldogs for two seasons and helped lead them to a berth in the 2007 NCAA championship game, while also earning a spot on the Frozen Four All-Tournament team. Off the ice, she was an outstanding student as a four-time WCHA All-Academic Team selection and a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete. Jess graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in coaching in 2007. She also completed her master’s degree in education in 2009. 

3. Jess then spent 10 years (2009-2019) playing professional hockey in the CWHL for the Montreal Stars, Boston Blades (where she won two championships), and Connecticut Whale. She also represented the U.S in the Women’s World Championships and won a Gold medal in 2008. 

4. While playing pro, Jess served as an assistant coach/associate head coach for @yalewhockey, @ohiostatewhky, and @universityofvermont. 

5. She currently serves as an associate head coach for the Catamounts.
