Jonathan Ang @jonathanang21 - 

1. Jonathan was born in Markham, Ontario, and was the first player of Malaysian heritage to be drafted in the @nhl. 

2. He was a highly touted prospect because of his speed, technical skating, and high end skill; he grew up a @mapleleafs fan but idolized Sidney Crosby. 

3. After playing 4 seasons in the @ohlofficial for the @petesohlhockey and @stinghockey, he was drafted 94th overall by the @flapanthers in the 2016 Entry Draft. At the draft, he didn’t hear his name called because he went to the bathroom! 

4. After juniors, Jonathan was used sparingly by the @thunderbirdsahl for 2 seasons, where he scored 46 points in 124 games. 

5. In January 2021, his contract was terminated by the Panthers, which allowed Jonathan to sign on to a professional team in Switzerland, @hcthurgau_official. Jonathan has so much high end skill that I hope we will get a chance to see him in back in North America.
