Kazumasa Sasaki - 

1. “Kaz” is a two-way Japanese defenseman from Tomakomai. 

2. As a teen, he traveled to North America to play in the AEHL for the West Island Icebergs tallying 10 points in 23 games in 2005-06. 

3. Kaz returned to Japan to finish high school while also representing his home country in the @iihfhockey World Junior Championships. From 2006-09, he won Div. 1B Silver (U-18) and Div. 2A Gold and Silver medals (U-20). 

4. He played one year of Division 1 hockey in Sweden for Östersund/Brunflo IF in 2008-09, where he notched a respectable 16 points in 33 games in 2008-09. 

5. Kaz went on to enjoy an 11-season career in the Asia League with the @oji__eagles, where he won a league championships and tallied 78 points in 357 games. He last suited up for the Eagles in the 2019-20 season.
