Here’s another improvement of one of my first posts featuring Simon Denis @skdenis26 -
1. Simon was a Japanese Canadian defenseman from Burnaby. During his career, he wore #9 as a tribute to his idol, Paul Kariya.
2. He played minor hockey in BC and then spent his junior career playing 2 seasons for the former Burnaby Express from 2008-10, where he racked up 42 points in 111 games. He also had a short stint with the @tricitystorm of the @ushl in 2010-11.
3. Simon went on to play 5 years at @ferrishockey, where he excelled academically and on the ice. He was named twice to the @wcha_mhockey All-Academic team, and he won a WCHA championship in 2015-16. He also served as an assistant captain his final two years. Overall, he put up 60 points in 141 @ncaaicehockey games.
4. Simon then went on to tear up the @echlhockey briefly with the @fwkomets and for two seasons with the @toledowalleye. He notched an astounding 92 points in 122 games.
5. Simon then took his talents overseas to play a season in Korea with the @daemyungkillerwhales and a season in Japan with the @freeblades l. 5.
6. He continues to play in Japan as he expects the birth of his first child with his wife, @amberlegacy, and manages his own travel blog, @denisdojapan.
I wish Denis the best in his new adventure in fatherhood!
