1. Taiga is a two-way, Japanese center from Tomakomai. 

2. Taiga attended Komazawa Tomakomai High School. In 2013, he experienced his first taste of international play representing Japan in the @iihfhockey U-18 D1-B World Junior Championships, where he nothed a goal in 5 games while winning a Silver medal. The following year, he scored another goal and an assist for the team in the same tournament. 

3. After graduating from high school, Taiga signed a pro contract with the @cranes1949team in 2015. Since then, he has tallied 35 points in 142 games for the Cranes organization. 

4. In 2017-18, Taiga played sparingly in the D1B World Championships but came home with another Silver medal. 

5. This past year, Taiga represented Japan again in the D1B World Championships, where he scored 2 goals in 4 games. Most notably, he led the tournament in faceoff percentage (71.43%) on the way to securing another Silver medal.
